Applying Principal Component Analysis and Unascertained Method for the Analysis of Construction Accident Risk

چکیده
In order to evaluate the construction accident risk, a novel method integrating principal component analysis (PCA) and the unascertained number algorithm with the synthesis weights is presented. According to humanmachine engineering, the multi-index and hierarchical system of accident risk in construction projects was built. PCA is applied to find relevant factors of the accident risk, which are classified into 6 categories used as inputs of unascertained assessment model. To improve the accuracy, quantitative change and qualitative change all need be reflected in the assessment results of accident risk in construction projects, the method determining the synthesis weights of indexes including both subjective favoritism and objective information is presented so as to make full use of redundant information, therefore, qualitative knowledge and quantitative data could be integrated. Finally, an improved unascertained assessment approach model was constructed to assess accident risk in construction projects by combining qualitative and quantitative information over conventional or other subjective methods and was verified by a case study.

Risk Assessment for Construction Projects Contracting Based on Unascertained Sets
This paper utilizes unascertained sets to analyze general contracting risk of construction projects. Firstly, principal component method was used to process a number of listed general contracting risk indices. The representative indices from principal component analysis process substitute for the primary indexes. Thus subjective random problem in choosing indices can be avoided. Then, risk fact...
متن کاملAn application of principal component analysis and logistic regression to facilitate production scheduling decision support system: an automotive industry case
Production planning and control (PPC) systems have to deal with rising complexity and dynamics. The complexity of planning tasks is due to some existing multiple variables and dynamic factors derived from uncertainties surrounding the PPC. Although literatures on exact scheduling algorithms, simulation approaches, and heuristic methods are extensive in production planning, they seem to be ineff...

Uncertain and stochastic states have been always taken into consideration in the fields of risk management and accident, like other fields of industrial engineering, and have made decision making difficult and complicated for managers in corrective action selection and control measure approach. In this research, huge data sets of the accidents of a manufacturing and industrial unit have been st...
متن کاملApplying Unascertained Theory, Principal Component Analysis and ACO-based Artificial Neural Networks for Real Estate Price Determination
Real estate industry is both capital-intensive, highly related industries and industries essential to provide the daily necessities. However, the real estate pricing models and methods of research rarely receive the critical attention and development it deserves. In this paper, we present a multi-resolution approach for the determination of the real estate pricing. The proposed method firstly u...
